My name is Ian Grimes, I'm co-owner of the Barbershop and salon called Essence Hair Studio, we've been in business in Ajax for over 26 years. It's safe to say i know the Ajax community well. What i think Ajax needs as a councilor is someone who is real with the community, has good character, hard worker and takes action.
As a Neighbor of Asif Malik, I can honestly say he is that Man. Behind the scenes of running for Regional Councillor of Ajax, when I first moved to the same street as him 11 years ago he greeted me and my family with open arms he taught us about the neighborhood, he always makes sure me and my family are good. I learned from a next neighbor that the main intersection of our street was dangerous to cross and Asif was the one who fought for our street to get a traffic light to make sure it was safe to cross. He's a devoted family man, a neighborhood watch guy who makes sure things are running smooth on our street. Asif understands the real concerns of our community and has already taken action to fix concerns in Ajax. He blieves in practical solutions and is serving to make change in Ajax.
